Abstract:
To obtain a polyglycerol medium-chain fatty acid ester-containing composition capable of forming an oil-in water type microemulsion capable of solubilizing a large quantity of water and excellent in dispersibility in water and a self-emulsifying property, and to prepare a cosmetic containing the composition.
This polyglycerol medium-chain fatty acid ester-containing composition comprises a polyglycerol medium-chain fatty acid ester obtained by esterifying a 6-10C medium-chain fatty acid with a polyglycerol having ≥3 and <100 average polymerization degree and a nonionic surfactant. The cosmetic comprises the polyglycerol medium-chain fatty acid ester composition.
