To provide a polymer composition excellent in proton conductivity, strength, toughness, and adhesiveness and a composite film made thereof.
The polymer composition contains a sulfonated polyarylene polymer consisting of repeating units represented by general formulas (1) and (2) and a sulfo-group-containing polymer rich in flexural castability. In general formula (1), A is a divalent electron-withdrawing group; B is a divalent electron-donating group or a direct bond; Ar is an aromatic group having a substituent expressed by -SO3H; m and n are each an integer of 0-10; and k is an integer of 1-4. In general formula (2), R1 to R8 are each at least one kind of atom or group selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom, a fluorine atom, an alkyl group, a fluorinated alkyl group, an allyl group, an aryl group, and a cyano group; W is a divalent electron-withdrawing group or a single bond; T is a single bond or a divalent organic group; and when T is -O-, p is a positive integer of 2 or more and when T is other than -O-, p is a positive integer of 1 or more.
