Abstract:

PURPOSE:To improve flexibility, elasticity, and transparency by melt mixing a specific ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer with a specific ethylene-propylene copolymer elastomer. CONSTITUTION:40-90wt.% ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer having a melt flow rate of 1-40 and a vinyl acetate content of 23-35wt.% is melt mixed with 60-10wt.% ethylene-propylene copolymer elastomer having a melt flow rate (at 230 deg.C under 2.16kg load) of 0.2-10 and a propylene content of 20-40wt.% at 150-250 deg.C.
