Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer LP insulator and a method of its manufacture capable of obtaining a product of high reliability without generating a fine crack in an FRP rod at use time and manufacture time.
SOLUTION: In a space 11 generated in an FRP rod 2, internal surface of a clamping metal fixture 4 and an end face 3a of an insulating jacket unit 3, an elastic unit is provided, also a polymer LP insulator 1 applying fixedly calking adhesive force only to a bonding part between the clamping metal fixture 4 and the FRP rod 2 is made as an example, after insertion fitting the clamping metal fixture 11 to both end parts of the FRP rod 2, in its periphery, the insulating jacket unit 3 made of rubber is provided. In the space 11 generated in the FRP rod 2, clamping metal fixture 4 and the end face 3a of the insulating jacket unit 3, the elastic unit is provided, thereafter adhesive force is applied only to a bonding part between the clamping metal fixture 4 and the FRP rod 2, the insulator is obtained by fixedly calking the clamping metal fixture 4 to the FRP rod 2.
