Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for obtaining an aromatic s-triazine-based polymer from a polymer soluble in a specific solvent by a simple method, the aromatic s-triazine-based polymer being insoluble in the specific solvent, excellent in optical transparency, and transparent.SOLUTION: A production method of a polymer having a structural unit represented by the formula (1) comprises a step of obtaining a polymer having a structural unit represented by the formula (1) from an aromatic polyether-based polymer having a triazine skeleton having a monovalent alkoxy group with a carbon number of 1 to 50 by a simple method with heating operation. (In the formula (1), Ar independently represents an organic group with a carbon number of 1 to 50 comprising an aromatic ring, R independently represents a monovalent organic group with a carbon number of 1 to 50, and n represents an integer of 2 or more.)
