Title:
POLYMORPHISM ANALYSIS OF DBI (DIAZEPAM-INDING INHIBITOR) GENE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2008306966
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To elucidate the relation of polymorphism in a DBI (diazepam-binding inhibitor), where the relation with the expression of anxiety disorder is suggested by alcohol dependence contained in the anxiety disorder, and to provide a method for determining anxiety disorder.

As a result of analysis of gene polymorphism of a DBI gene and studies on the relation of the alcohol dependence, and the like, with anxiety disorder, it has been made clear that a specific polymorphic allele frequency in the DBI gene has a significant relation with the anxiety disorder, to find out a method by which the polymorphic allele gene frequency related to the anxiety disorder can be determined in a simple manner. The method for determining the anxiety disorder comprising specifically detecting the specified polymorphic allele gene frequency of the DBI gene is provided. Furthermore, a primer for detecting the specific polymorphism of the DBI gene is provided.
