Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method that can stably produce polystyrene-based resin foam of low apparent density using a physical blowing agent containing, as major constituent, four kinds of blowing agents of saturated hydrocarbon, aliphatic alcohol, water and carbon dioxide that are excellent in environmental compatibility.SOLUTION: The polystyrene-based resin foam production method of the present invention is characterized in that, in a method for producing polystyrene-based resin foam by forming a foamable molten resin composition obtained by mixing a polystyrene-based resin and a physical blowing agent, into extruded plate shape, the physical blowing agent consists of a blowing agent composed of, for 1 kg of the polystyrene-based resin, 0.4 to 0.8 mol of a particular saturated hydrocarbon, 0.4 to 1.0 mol of a particular aliphatic alcohol, and water, and 0 to 0.5 mol of carbon dioxide, the mole ratio of blowing agent (b1) and blowing agent (b2) (b1/b2) is 0.1 to 0.6, and the total incorporation amount of the physical blowing agent is, for 1 kg of the polystyrene-based resin, 0.7 to 2 mol.
