Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyvinyl alcohol film roll which can correspond to widening and elongating of a polyvinyl alcohol film and from which a homogeneous film is fed and a polarizing film having excellent polarization performance and appearance characteristics can be obtained.SOLUTION: A polyvinyl alcohol film roll is made by winding an optical polyvinyl alcohol film around a cylindrical core tube, in which the core tube comprises an aluminium alloy of which a copper content is 0.15 to 0.5% by weight, a manganese content is 0.04 to 0.8% by weight, a chromium content is 0.01 to 0.5% by weight and a zinc content is 0.01 to 0.5% by weight.
