Title:
POROUS CALCIUM CARBONATE COMPOUND AND PRODUCTION THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3634404
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a porous calcium carbonate compound having porous surface and excellent quality and performance at a low cost by reacting calcium carbonate with a phosphoric acid compound.
CONSTITUTION: A porous calcium carbonate compound having a number of pores on the surface is produced by reacting calcium carbonate with a phosphoric acid compound. The reaction temperature is preferably 15-30°C. If the reaction does not sufficiently proceed under the above reaction condition, both components are mixed with each other and the temperature is further raised by about 15-20°C. Pores having irregular form are liable to form when the reaction is performed at ≥50°C) from the start. The phosphoric acid compound is preferably charged generally to an aqueous slurry of the calcium carbonate. In this case, it is preferable to charge the phosphoric acid compound spending 30-60min or longer in place of charging the compound at a stroke. The coagulation of particles and the formation of irregular pores are liable to occur by charging the phosphoric acid compound at a stroke.
