Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide porous concrete with high porosity and a high strength by reducing addition of an amount of a high-performance water reducer.
SOLUTION: The porous concrete is hardened by mixing a hydraulic powder which is hardened by reacting with water, coarse aggregates 1, and fine aggregates. The porous concrete has sufficient spaces among coarse aggregates 1, which are bonded with a sufficient strength by adding a thickener of 0.3-15 pts.wt. and a high-performance water reducer of 0.3-1 pts.wt. vs. the hydraulic powder of 100 pts.wt. In addition, the volume of the binder 2 comprising the hydraulic powder containing the thickener and the high-performance water reducer is controlled to be 25-55% vs. the volume of the coarse aggregates 1, where the coarse aggregates are bonded by the binder 2 to form a porous state.
