Abstract:
To prevent a port-wet phenomenon while making use of advantages of a port injection type, in an internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: An injector 20 is a type that can eject fuel by miniaturizing it to about 40 to 45 μm and reducing the penetration, and is set so that most of atomized fuel 30 is guided to an intake air outlet 9 of an intake port 6 by bringing a nozzle 27 of the injector 20 close to the intake air outlet 9 to, for example, about 15 to 45 mm. Since a spray angle θ3 of the atomized fuel 30 can be maintained at 30 to 70°, the dispersibility of the atomized fuel 30 with respect to the intake air can be improved. Moreover, since the atomized fuel 30 is vaporized inside the cylinder 1, the filling efficiency can be increased to improve the output, and the combustion chamber cooling effect due to the latent heat of vaporization can be ensured to obtain a high knocking prevention effect.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
