Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable communication terminal the start/stop of the communication function of which can be remotely controlled from other terminal by the user of the portable communication terminal without the need for request to the communication enterprise in order to prevent illegal use of the portable communication terminal on the occurrence of missing/theft of the portable communication terminal.
SOLUTION: A communication section of the portable communication terminal 1 is independently provided with a communication function control circuit to control the communication function of its communication circuit for a speech. The communication function control circuit has a recognition function of a password, a position registration function, a communication function of a communication control signal, and a communication function start/stop function and is always in operation independently of an ON/OFF state of the power supply and a start/stop state of the communication function of the communication circuit. The other communication terminal 4 transmits a communication function start/stop signal to the portable communication terminal 1 via a mobile subscriber exchange 3 and a base station 2, the communication function control circuit of the portable communication terminal authenticates the password and starts/stops the communication function of the communication circuit when the password is coincident.
