PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make switchable a normal operation mode and a power save mode according to the using state by a user and relieve the user from an inconvenience.
SOLUTION: The clocking apparatus 1 containing a generator 40 generating power by using a rotating weight and catching kinetic energy detects whether the generator 40 is generating power or not with a power generation detector 91 and when the non-generating time exceeds a specific waiting time, the indication mode is moved to the power save mode to terminate time indication. By providing a waiting time in this manner, immediate termination of the time indication is prevented. This waiting time is flexibly changeable considering various state.
