To provide a portable flag which is convenient to carry and simple to use, is housed with a touch of a finger, does not flutter in spite of wind and the like, and makes displayed contents easily understandable.

The flag is composed of a stretchable flagstaff A consisting of a storage compartment 1 and a support 2 and a flag B rotatably stored into the storage compartment 1. The storage compartment 1 is equipped with a take-up mechanism 10 for the flag B and a stopper mechanism 20 stopping the flag B in an arbitrarily drawn out position. The flag B is configured to be stored into the storage compartment 1 with a touch of a finger when the stopper mechanism 20 is released.
