Abstract:

To provide a portable information terminal whose operability in the case of selecting a touch object to be displayed in a display screen is raised.

A portable information terminal is constituted of: a touch panel 20 whose display screen 21 is provided on a front surface 13 of a thin housing 10, and which detects a touch operation to the display screen 21; object arrangement display means for displaying arrangement consisting of two or more touch objects each of which can be selected by touch operations in the display screen 21; object selection means for specifying any one of the touch objects as a selection object 7; focus display means for performing focus display of the selection object 7; and a slide sensor 4 which is provided on a right side surface 12 of the thin housing 10 to detect a slide operation to the vertical direction. The object selection means changes the selection object 7 into other touch object in the arrangement on the basis of the slide operation.
