Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a portable machining tool with which it is possible to improve safety in the case of outage of power supply. [Solution] A portable machining tool 1 is provided with: an electromagnet 12 for fixing a machining tool body 10 with respect to a workpiece; an electric motor 20 for rotationally driving an annular cutter 16; a control unit 48 for controlling the electromagnet 12 and the electric motor 20; and a control unit capacitor 60 connected to the control unit 48. A battery 14 is detachably attached to the machining tool body 10. When the battery 14 is detached and power supply from the battery 14 to the control unit 48 is stopped, operation of the control unit 48 is continued by power stored in the control unit capacitor 60. When the control unit 48 determines that power supply from the battery 14 has stopped during operation of the electromagnet 12 and driving of the electric motor 20, the control unit 48 carries out control to stop driving of the electric motor 20 and to maintain operation of the electromagnet 12.
