To allow to switch the polishing machine to a condition that a polishing tool is installed rotatable to a driving shaft driven by a motor by decentering the shaft, and the driving shaft and the axis of the polishing tool are combined integral, and a condition that the axis of the polishing tool is made rotatable to the driving shaft.

This portable polishing machine is composed by installing a polishing tool 20 allowable to connect and disconnect to an eccentric shaft 13 which is provided rotatable in the condition off-centered to the axial core of an output shaft 1, at the lower part of the output shaft 1 driven directly or indirectly by a motor, and an engaging part 13a is formed to the outer periphery of the eccentric shaft, an engaging member locked to the engaging part is provided to the output shaft movable forward and rearward to the engaging part, and furthermore, a circular member 9 is provided rotatable on the outer periphery of the output shaft. As a result, this polishing machine can be switched to a condition in which the output shaft 1 and the eccentric shaft 13 are integrated by pressing out the engaging member in the axial core direction by rotating the circular member 9, and a condition to provide the output shaft and the eccentric shaft become free by pressing the engaging member in the centrifugal direction and released from the engaging part.
