An impact driver 100 includes: a spindle having a tip tool holding part 20; a motor for rotating a spindle; a motor housing 51 for accommodating the motor; the handle 52 approximately cylindrically protruding from the motor housing 51; and a handle cover 3 integrally formed in an approximately cylindrical shape to cover a peripheral surface of the handle 52. Further, a battery holder 2 for carrying a battery pack 5 for supplying electric power to the motor is detachably provided at an end of the handle 52.
