PURPOSE: To provide stabilized and safe portable warm-air heater, in which poisonous exhaust gas is seldom generated and combustion is hardly extinguished, by heating air by catalytic combustion type heat source.
CONSTITUTION: When a switch handle 28 is operated to an arrow sign direction in the diagram, a needle valve3 26 is opened and a given amount of gas is guided to the pipe 36 of combustion unit 14a of the catalytic combustion type heat source 14. Gas passes through a gas releasing hole 37 and is diffused uniformly by a diffusion layer 38 and collides against the catalyst 39. The contact 31 for ignition heater is operated after one second from the opening of the needle valve 27, an ignition heater 33 becomes red-hot condition and heats the catalyst 39 to begin with the catalytic combustion. A fan 16 is rotated by putting the contact 32 for a motor ON to generate airflow in a degree that it is necessary for drying hair. The combustion is stabilized during about 1W2 minutes after starting the combustion.
