Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a tuck-in apparatus for a shuttleless loom to form a selvedge texture similar to the texture formed by a shuttle loom, capable of easily adjusting the longitudinal position of the tuck-in apparatus during the operation of loom and enabling the lateral positioning with simple operation in a state of fixed temple.

CONSTITUTION: Cam followers 42, 43, 44 contacting with cams 20, 22, 24 driving a gripper 30 and a needle 28 of a tuck-in apparatus are attached to arms 35, 36, 37. Eccentric parts 39, 40, 41 are formed on the supporting shaft 13 of the arms 35, 36, 37. Swinging levers 48, 49, 50 are pivoted to these arms and the intermediate parts are forced 51, 52, 53 to be pressed against the eccentric parts. The tips of the swinging levers are interlocked with mobile members 19, 21, 23 connected to the gripper 30 and the needle 28. The tuck-in apparatus having fixed temple 9 is loaded on a frame 4. A positioning block 7 fixed to a front bar 1 is provided with a rotatable and non-slidable screw 8 screwed into the frame 4.
