Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a position-measuring apparatus which can perform a position-measuring operation even when a revolution angular velocity sensor which generates a drift easily or a vehicle speed sensor whose error is large is used.
CONSTITUTION: A position-measuring apparatus is provided with a vehicle speed sensor as a position sensor which detects the position of a vehicle, with a piezoelectric vibrating gyro, with a GPS as a satellite-information detection means or a relative-speed detection means which detects the relative position of a plurality of satellites to the vehicle on the basis of signals sent out by the respective satellites, with position-measuring routines 35, 47 as position-measuring means which measure the relative position of the vehicle from at least one output of the position sensor or of the satellite-information detection means and with a hyro correction routine 37 as a sensor-output correction means which corrects the detected position of the position sensor on the basis of information from the satellites.
