Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH022500
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To easily set up the position of a mobile station by registering 'KANJI' (Chinese character), alphanumeric, 'KANA' (Japanese syllabary) characters corresponding to code keys including numerals, alphanumerics, etc., and displaying 'KANJI', alphanumeric and 'KANA' characters on a display part by key operation.

CONSTITUTION: An image register is connected to a register connecting cable 3, a position, an area name, etc., indicated by numerals and codes are registered in a memory 4 of a position setting display device and then the cable 3 is connected to transmitting/receiving part 6. When numerals and codes indicating a current position are inputted from a keyboard 2 as numeral key 2a and code keys 2b, a image ('KANJI', alphanumeric or 'KANA' characters) such as the position and area name corresponding to the numerals and codes is read out of a memory and displayed on a liquid crystal display part 1. Then, the inputted numerals and codes are coded by a signal processing part 5 and transmitted from the transmitting/receiving part 6 to a base station. Consequently, it is unnecessary to store all codes indicating an area and a position and the correct position and area of the mobile station can be set up on the base station.
