PURPOSE: To simply perform adjustment only by rotating a drive shaft, to shorten the stop time of a machine and to enhance productivity by rotating the drive shaft by a drive means and simultaneously moving all of the stoppers provided to respective mandrels in the same direction.

CONSTITUTION: In a device for positioning the cartons 1 put on mandrels 10, a drive shaft 50 is allowed to pierce through the center of rotation of a turret head 7 in a freely rotatable manner. The mandrels 10 are radially arranged to the polygonal head part of the turrent head 7 so as to pierce the head 7 and a plurality of adjusting screws 44 whose screw parts 45 are inserted in the mandrels 10, the drive bevel gear 52 attached to the end of the drive shaft 50 and the follower bevel gears 47 meshed with the drive bevel gear 52 are provided. A plurality of the stoppers 13 attached to the mandrels 10 in a manner not rotatable but freely slidable in the longitudinal direction of the mandrel and threaded with the screw parts 45 of the adjusting screws 44 and the drive means rotating the drive shaft 50 are provided.
