Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a post-processing device in which unfinished booklets can be discharged smoothly when booklet processing is cancelled.SOLUTION: A post-processing device includes: a post-processing unit for performing booklet processing to a plurality of sheets; a paper discharge unit for sending the booklets processed in the post-processing unit, and discharging the sheets; a lateral paper discharge tray 40 for laterally arranging and disposing the booklets sent from the paper discharge unit; an arrangement position drive unit for changing the arrangement position of every booklet by laterally moving the arrangement surface of the lateral paper discharge tray by a predetermined amount when discharging the sheets; a pressing unit for pressing the sheets discharged to the lateral paper discharge tray through the paper discharge unit from a top surface side to a lower side; and a control unit for controlling the post-processing unit, the paper discharge unit and the sheet discharge position drive unit. The control unit can perform a cancel operation of the booklet processing, and makes it possible to discharge the sheets to the lateral paper discharge tray through the paper discharge unit in the sheet discharge of unfinished booklets concerning the cancel operation. Also, the movement amount of the arrangement surface is increased more than the predetermined amount in the sheet discharge, and the sending out by the paper discharge unit is performed.
