Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent raw material powder from invading into the stopper device for controlling the operation of a lower punch in the die set for a powder compacting press.
SOLUTION: A projecting wall 66 is provided on a second lower punch adapter 15 with a second lower punch 16 encircled. The raw material powder P, leaked out on the second lower punch adapter 15 passing through the gap 70 between a first lower punch 13 and the second lower punch 16 from within a die 11, is blocked and stopped with the projecting wall 66. By this way, the raw material powder P is prevented to further invade into the gap 46 between a first lower punch plate 2 and a second lower punch holder 14. Although this gap 46 communicates to the stopper device for the second lower punch 16, the raw material powder P does not invade up to the stopper device. Therefore, the working defect due to the clogging of the raw material P is prevented.
