Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder plasma treatment apparatus and method, which enables the effective use of a plasma energy, increases a process efficiency of the powder, and is suitable for an industrial production.
SOLUTION: The powder plasma treatment apparatus comprises a powder supply nozzle supplying a powder raw material into plasma flame produced inside a high-frequency coil. The powder supply nozzle arranged substantially at the center of a radial direction of the high-frequency coil comprises a means forming a rotating flow for a carrier gas and the raw material powder inside centering an axial direction of the high-frequency coil, for example, a spiral plate, and discharges the rotating flow from a nozzle end outlet. More preferably, a relaxation space is provided between the nozzle end outlet and the means forming the rotating flow, and further, the nozzle end outlet is diameter-reduced.
