Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a powdery cement dispersant excellent in workability and useful, e.g. for concrete reduced in slump loss and to provide a production method therefor.
CONSTITUTION: This powdery cement dispersant is composed of a polycarboxylic acid-based copolymer and an inorganic powder and produced by charging the polycarboxylic acid-based copolymer and the inorganic powder in a spray drier and spray-drying them. According to this method, the polycarboxylic acid-based copolymer can be readily powdered and a cement dispersant capable of redispersing and excellent in dospersion properties can be obtained. In addition, the redispersing cement dispersant capable of redispersing produced by this method can be stored for a long period. If the cement dispersant is used as a cement admixture, the fluidity can be secured. Workability is, therefore, improved and a high-strength cured cement material having a low water-cement ratio, exhibiting a high density and excellent in durability can be obtained.
