Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a power backup circuit equipped with a self diagnosis part capable of diagnosing whether a backup capacitor is normal or not.
CONSTITUTION: When a microcomputer 118 diagnoses that there is little ripple in voltage of a battery, this turns on a control transistor 120 and puts a switching transistor 119 in continuity condition to put the system in backup condition. If the time backup capacitor voltage drops to the specified threshold voltage is not less than the threshold time, this diagnoses that backup capacitors 113 and 115 are normal.
