Abstract:
To provide a power conversion device capable of more appropriately determining a failure of a unit converter that the power conversion device comprises, a determination method for the power conversion device, and a program.SOLUTION: A power conversion device comprises a self-excited power converter and a converter control section. The self-excited power converter includes at least one arm comprising at least two or more current detection mechanisms in which at least one or more unit converters each including a cell capacitor for storing power and a voltage detection mechanism for detecting voltages in both ends of the cell capacitors are connected in series and which detect arm currents flowing in the unit converters. The converter control section determines occurrence of an abnormality in the cell capacitor or the voltage detection mechanism on the basis of each cell capacitor voltage detected by the voltage detection mechanism included in each unit converter, an arm current detected by each current detection mechanism and a control state representing whether to cause the unit converter to output the voltage of the cell capacitor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
