Abstract:
PURPOSE: To automatically correct the unexpected change of the advance road of a vehicle, without forcing a driver to conduct corrective operation.
CONSTITUTION: The rotary valve V1 of a power steering device is equipped with an inner sleeve 25 connected with a steering wheel, outer sleeve 28 connected with a pinion shaft 23 meshed with a rack bar 24, and a torsion bar 26 for joining the inner sleeve 25 and the outer sleeve 28, and steering is assisted by selecting an oil passage which communicates to a power cylinder through the relative revolution between the inner sleeve 25 and the outer sleeve 28. The outer sleeve 28 and the pinion shaft 23 are connected in a slightly relative revolution enabled form through an elastic body 34, and if the unexpected change of advance road is generated on the vehicle, the outer sleeve 28 is revolved by a torque motor 18, deforming the elastic body 34, and a steering force for correcting the change of the advance road is generated in the power cylinder.
