Abstract:

To allow for continuous running of a vehicle depending on the situation of electric leakage, even if an abnormality is detected only in one charging relay in a DC quick charging system.

The battery system provided with a DC quick charging system includes an abnormality determination unit for determining abnormal state of a positive electrode side charging relay and a negative electrode side charging relay of the DC quick charging system, an electric leakage determination unit for detecting electric leakage of a power storage device and determining whether electric leakage of the power storage device occurred on the positive electrode side or negative electrode side of the power storage device, and a control unit for controlling charge/discharge of the power storage device. When an abnormality is detected in any one of the positive electrode side charging relay and negative electrode side charging relay, the control unit allows charge/discharge of the power storage device if the electric leakage occurred on the same electrode side for the positive electrode side charging relay or negative electrode side charging relay in which the abnormality is detected.
