Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AC-DC power supply comprising a controller for maintaining high power factor while adjusting output current.SOLUTION: An example of a controller comprises: first, second and third inputs; a delayed ramp generator; and a drive signal generator. The first, second and third inputs are coupled so as to receive an input voltage detecting signal, an output voltage detecting signal and an input current detecting signal, respectively. The drive signal generator is coupled so as to receive an input charge control signal generated by an input charge control signal generator and a delayed ramp signal generated by the delayed ramp generator. The input charge control signal is generated, by responding to an integral of the input current detecting signal multiplied by ratio of the input voltage detecting signal to the output voltage detecting signal, the drive signal generator generates a drive signal by responding to the input charge control signal and the delayed ramp signal, and the drive signal is coupled so as to control a switch of a power supply and so as to adjust an output of the power supply.
