Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saltiness enhancing composition made from a processed Japanese pepper product such as Japanese pepper powder, capable of enhancing saltiness without causing choking, which can be easily manufactured at low cost, widely applicable to medicines, quasi drugs, foods for specified health use, foods for medical use, and food products.SOLUTION: A saltiness enhancing composition includes: a processed Japanese pepper product (1); and a base material (2) for retaining the processed Japanese pepper product in the oral cavity. Examples of the processed Japanese pepper product (1) include powder Japanese pepper. Examples of the form of saltiness enhancing composition include a solution, a troche agent, a chewable agent, a pill, a tablet, a granule, powder, and a food product.
