Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely protect a power line, a semiconductor switching element, load or the like even in the case of the on-off control of the semiconductor switching element by pulsed drive voltage.
SOLUTION: A semiconductor switching control means 111+CP conducts on-off control on semiconductor switching element QF, so that a current exceeding the first fixed value does not flow continuously during the applied period of drive voltage, when a current detected by a current detecting means 105 exceeds the first prescribed value. Power fed to a load through the semiconductor switching element QF is made smaller than the power when the current at the first fixed value flows continuously during the applied period of drive voltage.
