Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power tool which inhibits abrasion of tooth surfaces of a gear transmission mechanism thereby achieving long life.SOLUTION: A disc grinder 1 that is a power tool includes: a housing; a gear cover 3 connected with the housing; a motor which is housed in the housing and has a rotary shaft 33; a first gear 34 which is fixed to the rotary shaft 33 and has a tooth surface inclining relative to an axial direction of the rotary shaft 33; an output shaft 35 which intersects with the rotary shaft 33; and a second gear 36 which is housed in the gear cover 3 and fixed to the output shaft 35, the second gear 36 having a tooth surface which inclines relative to an axial direction of the output shaft 35 and meshes with the tooth surface of the first gear 34. The gear cover 3 includes a storage part 3C where the second gear 36 is disposed. The storage part 3C includes a guide part 31A for guiding a lubricant 200 which is applied to the tooth surfaces of the first gear 34 and the second gear 36, to the tooth surface of the second gear 36.
