In the power transmission device 10 for the compressor provided with a pulley installed on a casing 16 of the compressor, a hub 12 connected to the pulley rotatably as one unit, and the power shut-off member 13 installed between the hub 12 and a rotary shaft 15 of the compressor and shutting off transmission of excessive torque between the rotary shaft 15 and the pulley, a cylindrical body 14 is provided between the power shut-off member 13 and a rotary shaft 15, the power shut-off member 13 and the cylindrical body 14, the cylindrical body 14 and the rotary shaft 15 are threadedly joined respectively, a seat surface 21a is formed on a spacer 21 pressed and fixed on the rotary shaft 15, an abutment surface 14d abutting on the seat surface 21a in the axial direction is provided on the cylindrical body 14, and an abutment surface 12d abutting on a cylindrical body side seat surface 14e of the cylindrical body 14 in the axial direction is provided on an axial direction d part of the hub 12 having the power shut-off member 13 fitted and joined thereon.
