To provide a power transmission mechanism for a sheet processor contributive to the reduction of the size of the sheet processor by reducing the number of components and simplifying a constitution.
The power transmission mechanism comprises a driving source connection member 55 connected to a motor shaft 53, and a driven rotation member 56 connected in linkage with the input shaft of a processing means. The driving source connection member 55 has a boss 57 into which the motor shaft 53 is inserted and joined, and a flange 58 which is integrally formed at one end of the boss 57. The driven rotation member 56 is rotatably fitted into the outer periphery of the boss 57 of the driving source connection member 55, and a steel ball 62 is arranged between opposed faces of the flange 58 and the driven rotation member 56. A recessed portion 63 is formed at the driven rotation member 56 for receiving and holding the steel ball 62, and a hole 60 is formed at the flange 58 for storing the steel ball 62. A coil spring 61 is arranged in the hole 60 for pressing the steel ball 62 against the recessed portion 63.
