Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To regulate the discharge of an accumulator through a balance circuit.
SOLUTION: The leakage current of a Zener diode (for example, ZD1) constituting a balance circuit B1 is amplified with an amplifying circuit composed of transistors Q1 and Q2 and a resistor (for example, R1), and it is let flow between both the negative and positive terminals of a corresponding accumulator C1. As compared with the voltage current property with a unit of Zener diode, the voltage current property of the balance circuit B1 shifts to high voltage side, so it turns out that the leakage current is reduced equivalently, and the discharge of the accumulator C1 is suppressed. The life of the accumulator C1 is elongated by selecting and using the Zener diode and the resistor, according to the temperature of the corresponding accumulator C1 or the ambient temperature of the accumulator.
