Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pre-treating agent capable of improving a close adhesion of an aqueous adhesive or a coating material with a wood, plywood, paper or the like by modifying the surface of the wood, plywood, paper, or the like, by containing a polyvinyl alcohol-based polymer having a functional group containing active hydrogen in molecule thereof as a main component.
SOLUTION: This pre-treating agent contains a polyvinyl alcohol-based polymer having a functional group containing active hydrogen in molecule thereof [the content of the functional group is usually 0.1-30 mol.%, preferably 0.5-25 mol.%] (preferably contains one or more kinds of functional groups selected from a primary amino group, a secondary amino group and an acetoacetyl group in molecule thereof) as a main component. The pre-treating agent is useful as an aqueous adhesive or an aqueous coating material for a plywood or a paper, and used by being applied by 0.5-200 g/m2 base material as the polyvinyl alcohol-based polymer having the functional group containing active hydrogen.
