Abstract:

To provide a novel noble metal particle carrier useful as a hydrogenation catalyst of unsaturated hydrocarbon enabling the utilization of a hydrogen-containing gas, for example, a CO-containing low grade modified gas and excellent in CO poisoning resistance.

The noble metal particle carrier is coated with molecular sieve carbon and characterized in that molecular sieve carbon is of hydrogen gas permeability and of CO gas impermeability, and molecular sieve carbon has fine pores with a pore size of 0.2-0.35 nm.
