To form an ignition flame with a uniform temperature in a precombustion chamber by enhancing the mixing of a pressurized air-fuel mixture and a liquid fuel when the liquid fuel is injected into the pressurized air-fuel mixture introduced from a main combustion chamber into the precombustion chamber for ignition and combustion.

A communication hole allowing the precombustion chamber 15 of the precombustor 11 of a gas engine to communicate with the main combustion chamber is formed of an offset hole 19 which is offset S to the axis of the precombustion chamber 15. The pressurized air-fuel mixture in the main combustion chamber is introduced into the precombustion chamber 15 while a swirl flow is formed by the offset hole 19.
