Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a dispersion of metal in a polysilazene soln. having a homogeneity sufficient for omitting the filtration step in a short time by bringing a specified metal salt into contact with a basic org. compd. and then mixing the obtained product with a solution of a specified polysilazane or a modification thereof in a solvent.
SOLUTION: This soln. is prepared by bringing at least one metal salt selected from among transition elements into contact with a basic organic compound and then mixing the obtained product with a solution of a polysilazane having a main skeleton mainly comprising units of the formula (R1, R2 and R3 each represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aryl group or a group other than these groups and having a carbon directly bonded to the silicon, an alkylsilyl group, an alkylamino group or an alkoxyl group, with the proviso that at least one of R1, R2 and R3 is a hydrogen atom) and having a number-average molecular weight of 100 to 50,0000 or a modification thereof in a solvent.
