To easily and stably prepare a double-layer molded article with excellent design properties with a small man-hour by using respectively one fixed mold and one movable mold.
The first layer 4 is formed by feeding a molding material into the first cavity and a movable mold 2 on which the first layer 4 is stuck is moved in the direction separating from a fixed mold 1 to project a mold split face member 3 into a space formed between the mold split face of the movable mold 2 and the mold split face of the fixed mold 1 from the movable mold 2 and after the mold split face member 3 is brought into contact with the underside 14 of the mold of the fixed mold 1, a molding material is fed into the second cavity 13 to form the second layer 5. As contrarotation of the mold becomes unnecessary, there exists no restriction on the size of a molded article. In addition, as no burr is generated, a process for removing the burr becomes unnecessary and as a slide core is not used unlike prior cases, there exists no unconvenience of appearance of a telescopic line on the surface of the design.
