Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a conjugated hydroxy-L-proline dehydrogenase, efficiently, in high purity, by culturing a bacterial strain belonging to Pseudomonas genus in a liquid medium, and purifying the cultured product.

CONSTITUTION: Pseudomonas nob sp.No.109 (FERM-P No.3025) is cultured in a liquid medium containing hydroxy-L-proline. Hydroxyproline-2-epimerase and allohydroxy-D-proline dehydrogenase are produced and accumulated in the bacterial cell at the same time. The cells are collected, and the crude enzyme solution is extracted and purified to obtain the objective purified enzyme solution.
