Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an insulator having an electric insulating material applied to an undercoating covering layer, in which uniformity of the applied undercoating covering layer can be checked with relative ease. SOLUTION: An undercoating solution is applied to at least one element. The applied undercoating solution is dried to form an undercoat covering layer 12. Thereafter, an electric insulating material is applied onto the undercoating covering layer 12. Before the application of the electric insulating material, a fluorescent material is dissolved in the undercoating solution, and the undercoating covering layer 12 is exposed to a light source. Consequently, it is possible to find a point at the surface of at least one element where the undercoating covering layer 12 is incompletely applied. The undercoating solution is applied to the point at the surface of at least one element where the undercoating covering layer 12 is incompletely applied, if desired.
