Abstract:
To provide a preparative liquid chromatograph in which a plurality of fraction collectors are provided in parallel, yet it is prevented that some of peaks is left behind in a passage.SOLUTION: The fractionating liquid chromatograph comprises: a plurality of fraction collectors 14-n for fractionating and gathering, in a collection container, peaks detected by a detector downstream of a detector 10; a switching valve 12 interposed between an outlet of the detector and the plurality of fraction collectors, for switching the fraction collectors connected to the outlet of the detector among the plurality of fraction collectors; and a controller 16 for controlling the operation of the plurality of fraction collectors and the switching valve. The controller is constituted so as to switch the switching valve 12 in a time slot in which a fraction collector being in use is not executing operation of peak collection, when the number of remaining unused collection containers of the fraction collector connected to the outlet of the detector and being in use is smaller than a buffer number which is integer 2 or greater.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
