PURPOSE: To easily prepare an NC data for five-axis NC machine tool having turning two axes and orthogonal three axes.
CONSTITUTION: By additionally providing a tilt angle setting data (step S6) of setting a tilt angle of a tool against a workpiece machining surface relating to an existing three-axis NC data (step S4), a five-axis NC data is prepared. Since the existing three-axis NC data is utilized, preparing the five-axis NC data is performed in a very short time. When the three-axis NC data is a point end position data of a ball end mill, in the case of preparing the five-axis NC data, the ball end mill is separated from a workpiece by a component of radius in an axial direction on the three-axis NC data (step S5), to tilt the ball end mill in a separated position (step S6), so as to return the ball end mill, left as tilted, in this axial direction to a side of the workpiece by an amount of radius (step S7), and the five-axis NC data is prepared.
