Abstract:
To provide a press device and a method of manufacturing a member that are capable of forming a projection part with good accuracy without enhancing push-in pressure more than necessary even for a thick plate.SOLUTION: A press device 10 forms a projection part Pa on a plate material 50 by push-in molding of the plate material 50. The press device 10 includes a punch 20 for pushing in the plate material 50, and a lower die 30 having a receiving part 31 capable of receiving the plate material 50 pushed-in by the punch 20. The receiving part 31 of the press device 10 has a concave part 32 formed in a shape corresponding to the projection part Pa, and a release part 33 being continuous to a bottom part 32b of the concave part 32 and projecting toward a downstream side in a push-in direction of the plate material 50. An inner peripheral surface 33a of the release part 33 of the press device 10 is offset to the push-in center side by the punch 20 with respect to an inner peripheral surface 32a of the concave part 32.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
