To perform high-precise and efficient press-in work in simple process and constitution.

This press-in device 50 includes: a length measuring mechanism 52 for automatically measuring the overall length of a drive shaft 12; a position setting mechanism 54 for setting the disposition position of the drive shaft 12 according to the length measurement data obtained by the length measurement; and a moving mechanism 56 for pressing the end part of the drive shaft 12 in an outboard component 14.
