Abstract:
To provide a press-molded body for a two-wheeled vehicle having a wall thickness gradually changing part, which is made of a fiber-reinforced resin and has excellent mechanical strength, and a method for producing the press-molded body having excellent productivity.SOLUTION: A press-molded body 1 for a two-wheeled vehicle containing discontinuous carbon fiber and resin includes: a thick part 2; a thin part 3; and a wall thickness gradually changing part 4 gradually decreasing a thickness from the thick part to the thin part. A length of a shortest line segment S connecting an arbitrary point A on an interface between the thick part and the wall thickness gradually changing part and an arbitrary point B on an interface between the thin part and the wall thickness gradually changing part, is L.
